Have you ever thought about traveling to Thailand? Well stop thinking and book your flight today because you won’t regret it. According to statistics, Thailand is one of the most traveled to destinations all over the world, which doesn’t surprise me. It offers everything from delicious food, beautiful beaches, a long history, spectacular sea life and stunning nature.

Wherever you go in Thailand, you will fall in love with the locals and their willingness to help you. There is a reason why Thailand is also known as “The Land of Smiles”, because everywhere you go, you will be given a smile. Remember to smile back even if it’s not a part of your culture, because remember its part of theirs. You shouldn’t be surprised if locals ask to take a selfie with you either, especially the younger generation. They probably just want to practice their English and learn more about you. Don’t be afraid to immerse yourself in their culture.

It’s very easy to get around in Thailand, not only because people are extremely willing to help you, but also because of the well-developed public transportation system. You can travel by bus pretty much anywhere, it’s cheap, but hopefully you aren’t afraid of speeding because the bus drivers usually drive very fast and don’t care to much about the passenger’s comfort.  If you prefer a safer alternative but are still traveling on a limited budget, you should take the train. In the cities you can easily get around by taking a “Tuk-Tuk”, which is shown on the picture below. Make sure to negotiate about the price before getting on though, otherwise the drivers will most likely charge you too much.

Thailand has so much to offer and spectacular places to visit, but here are a top 5 places you must visit while in Thailand:

1. Bangkok
The capital of Thailand, Bangkok is one of the most spectacular big cities in the entire world. On one side of the street you can visit luxurious malls and on the other a historic Temple. If you want to experience high-class dinning, you can go to one of the cities many rooftops restaurants, but don’t worry if you’re a budget traveler, then you can enjoy real authentic Thai food in one of thousands of food trucks all over the city.  The variety in this city is enormous and that’s why everyone will enjoy a couple of days in Bangkok.

2. Ko Tao
Is one of many beautiful islands in the southern part of Thailand. It’s well known for scuba diving and snorkeling because of the many reefs located around the island. You will probably spend more time below the surface, but don’t forget to enjoy this island’s many romantic spots as well. How does a dinner on the beach sound to you? You don’t have to wear any fancy high-heels, just a pair of flip flops or you can even go barefoot.

3. Pattaya
Did someone mention PARTY? Pattaya is the place to be. Here you can enjoy full moon partying and dancing all night long on beautiful beaches. If you still have energy to do other things, don’t worry because there is plenty of things to do here. You can visit the Sanctuary of Truth, a wood building Temple. And you will defiantly get a Instagram friendly picture here.

4. Phuket
Probably the most known tourist spot in all of Thailand. Millions of tourist travel here to enjoy this tropical paradise. If you just want a week of relaxation and to lay on the beach, I will strongly recommend you to go here. It’s a little bit more expensive than the rest of Thailand, due to the high volume of tourists but an absolute magical spot that won’t disappoint you.

5. Chang Mai
This city is located in the northern part of Thailand and not too many tourists go here, which makes it a little bit more exotic. The city offers a wide range of historical places but also beautiful nature close by the city center. To live and eat in Chang Mai is very cheap, but sometimes you will visit restaurants that don’t offer English menus, which can be problematic if you have many allergies to various foods. If not, let the server decide what you should eat, and you won’t be disappointed.

Hope you guys enjoyed this post.
